Developmental Editing, $50 per hour 
Typically, one full first pass of a novel that falls at 50,000–100,000 words can take 20–40 hours, or $1000–$2000. The cost varies widely based on many factors, including the expertise and experience of the author and which draft the manuscript to be edited is.

Line-editing, $4.00–$6.00 per page
50,000 words/200 pages: $800–$1,200.  85,000 words/340 pages: $1,360–$2,400. 110,000 words/440 pages:  $1,760–$2,640.  

Add a manuscript critique for an additional $400.

Copyediting, $3.00–$4.00 per page
50,000 words/200 pages: $600–$800.  85,000 words/340 pages: $1,020–$1,360. 110,000 words/440 pages: $1,320–$1,760.

Page Length: The industry-standard page length is 250 words per page. All project fees will be calculated using this as the basis for determining page number.

Reservations and Deposit: For projects estimated to cost $500 or greater, a deposit of $200 is required upon scheduling to confirm, hold, and guarantee a reservation. For projects estimated to cost less than $500, the full fee is required upon scheduling to confirm, hold, and guarantee a reservation. Deposits are refundable with a 30-day notice. All payments can be made through Intuit QuickBooks online invoicing, wire transfer (with an additional fee), or check. Please note: Reservation deposits paid by check can only be made for projects scheduled at least 45 days in advance of the anticipated start date.
